The Academic Council of International European University is a collegiate governing body established for five years to consider crucial issues of University operations.
Academic Council’s key objectives:
- to define a strategy and promising development areas of educational, scientific and innovative activities of the University;
- to develop a draft statute of the University and to approve decisions about amendments and additions to it;
- to approve a financial plan and annual financial report of the University;
- to define a system and approve the procedure for internal assurance of higher education quality;
- to provide offers and adopt decisions about establishment, reorganization and liquidation of structural units;
- to approve educational programs and curricula for each higher education level and specialty;
- to adopt decisions about educational process organization, to define study periods at corresponding levels;
- to approve samples and the procedure for developing samples of higher education documents, including joint and double diplomas;
- to approve key areas of scientific research and innovative activities;
- to assess academic activities of structural units;
- to award titles of professor, associate professor and senior researcher; to submit corresponding decisions for approval to the graduate council of the central executive body engaged in education and science;
- to make final decisions about recognition of foreign higher education documents, academic degrees and academic titles while hiring teaching, scientific, academic and other staff members, as well as while enrolling applicants;
- consider and approve Provisions, Rules and other documents required for the University to carry out its educational activities;
- to define a procedure, types, forms and conditions for defining the results of advanced vocational training for academic staff.
