!!! ATTENTION ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS!!!
International citizens must obtain a long-term visa type “D” in order to study offline in Ukraine, so they need to get an invitation letter from the University. The procedure for obtaining the invitation letter is described under the Admission section of this website.
Embassies of Ukraine in foreign countries determine the procedure for obtaining a student visa. In turn, the University helps to organize visa support for each invitation letter issued through it.
Applicant is entitled to enter Ukraine only in the terms provided for a visa unless otherwise provided by the legislation of Ukraine
With the successful enrollment, the University is preparing a request to issue a temporary residence permit for the whole duration of study in Ukraine at the Immigration Services of Ukraine or until the student’s international passport expires. Please be aware that the student must have a new passport in hand to be submitted to the Immigration Service for temporary residence permit extension and exchange at least one month before its expiration.
For a temporary residence permit, the following documents are needed:
– notarized certified translation of the passport document of the student (the page with personal data)
– four photos 3.5 cm * 4.5 cm, matt
– A copy of the medical insurance policy for the international student for the whole duration of his / her studies
– On receipt of a temporary residence permit, the student must register within thirty days the place of residence in the Registration Office of the City Council or at the appropriate office by place of residence. In case of violation of this term, the student will have administrative responsibility (paying a fine).
After canceling the current address associated with a temporary residence permit, there is also a thirty-day term to register a new address in order to avoid paying a fine.
Living at an address other than the address of registration on a temporary residence permit, provided this fact is detected by the State Immigration Service, may result in an administrative offense and paying a fine.
The conditions of entry and exit from the territory of Ukraine are the presence of the current passport document and the current temporary residence permit. With the availability of a new passport document, the student must inform the State Immigration Service of Ukraine in Kyiv about the new passport by submitting its notarized translation within three days after either receiving a new passport or entering Ukraine with the new passport.
In case of expulsion from the university, the university informs the State Immigration Service of Ukraine about expulsion within ten days after the termination of studies. The student must withdraw from the place of registration, return a temporary residence permit, and leave Ukraine within the period provided by law.
If you lost your international passport or your temporary residence permit, you must file a claim at the local police station within the area where you lost your documents. After you receive a letter or other proof from the police, you MUST inform the dean’s office and the foreign students' department within 10 days. Failure to do so may result in fines. After that, you must start the procedure of renewing your lost documents. If you don’t do it, you can be paying fines again for the reason of living a prolonged period of time without documents.
A temporary residence permit, together with an address document, must be carried by the student and presented to the immigration police officer if the student is stopped routinely on the streets or in public places during routine checks.
Effective February 24, 2022, all temporary residence permits, which expired during martial law, which is currently extended until the end of the war, plus an additional 30 days, remain valid for staying in Ukraine or crossing the border, if the juridical basis for legal status remains unaffected
