Administration of the University is unceasingly concerned about providing comfortable conditions for persons with special needs. Therefore, the university has integrated an education accompanying system that includes the use of new educational technologies to create equal conditions of access to study for people with special needs. Interactive methods of teaching are particularly applied: situational exercises, cases, gaming technologies, problem-based learning, individualized programmed learning, etc.

To comply with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated December 2, 2017, No. 401/2017 “On amendments to Section 3 about national institution (establishment) of Ukraine”, IEU has developed the Procedure of accompanying handicapped persons and other groups of people with disabilities, specifying the ways of creating an unhindered access of people with special needs in University premises and actions of responsible persons related to the provision of comfort staying at the University.

Conclusions of the expert in technical inspection of buildings and constructions confirm that the University provides an unhindered access to buildings, laboratories, cabinets, a library, reading and assembly halls. Physically disabled students and wheelchair users can not only easily move to common areas, but also comfortably satisfy their daily needs and have a rest.
