On 19–20 November, the second transnational partner meeting of the Erasmus+ UkraStud project took place in Istanbul. The project focuses on studying inclusion, psychological well-being, and the identification of Ukrainian students within European universities.
The International European University (IEU) was an active participant in the meeting and presented its vision and approaches to the implementation of WP4.
IEU was represented by experts in inclusion and psychological support — Vitalii Zakharchuk and Yuliia Yushchenko, who took part in the discussions and presented the university’s developments in supporting students in crisis conditions.
Throughout the two days, partners worked on key project directions:
Analysis of UkraStud progress, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Discussion of the results of a large-scale study on the psychological and social well-being of Ukrainian students in Europe. Examination of how students assess university inclusiveness and which factors influence their adaptation and emotional state. Discussion on the role of support and social contacts in shaping a sense of belonging to the European community. In-depth work on WP3: aligning the structure of the digital course, video content, and H5P elements. IEU presented the draft Implementation Plan for WP4 aimed at strengthening the competencies of university tutors. Planning of the final event in Padua and strategies for the next year of project implementation.

– the impact of the educational environment and support on their integration into European academic communities.
The next step — an online course for university tutorsThe project team is developing a dedicated online course to help universities:
improve student support practices; strengthen psychological and mentoring assistance; create a more inclusive and supportive environment.
Important for Ukrainian universitiesThe results of the UkraStud research will be valuable not only for European institutions but also for Ukrainian universities, as the collected data will help:
better understand the needs of international students in Ukraine; build effective academic and psychological support mechanisms; adapt inclusion practices aligned with European standards; strengthen the competitiveness of Ukrainian institutions in the international education space.
The International European University will continue contributing to the goals of UkraStud by implementing innovative approaches to quality education, psychological well-being, and student support in challenging conditions.
