Anastasiia Valeriivna Bondarenko, MD, DSc (Medicine), Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Immunology, Infectious and Rare Diseases at the European Medical School of the International European University, presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI 2026) in Philadelphia the results of a study conducted as part of the doctoral research of Alla Puhach, supervised by Professor A.V. Bondarenko. The findings on the safety of simultaneous vaccination were later highlighted in the leading global medical publication Medscape (USA)

Family physician Alla Puhach, who recently defended her dissertation under the supervision of Professor Bondarenko, analyzed data from 460 children aged 2 to 18 months to provide an evidence-based answer to an important question: is it safe to administer several vaccines to a child at the same time?

Key findings:

Simultaneous vaccination against 8 pathogens (for example, a 6-valent vaccine together with protection against rotavirus and pneumococcus) does not increase the risk of adverse reactions.

Indicators of fever and local reactions during combined vaccination do not exceed those observed after a routine single vaccination.

This approach allows children to be protected against dangerous infections more quickly and reduces the stress associated with frequent visits to clinics.
