The 1st Regional Educational Forum: Vectors for European Quality and Success took place on March 16 at International European University.
The grand opening of the forum was held in the Conference Hall where welcoming speeches were delivered by: Alla Navolokina, the President of IEU, Nina Huliai, the Head of the Department of Professional, Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Kyiv Regional State Administration, and Olha Denysiuk, the Advisor to the Rector of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
One of the main objectives of the forum was the discussion of new ways of cooperation and development of partnership between education institutions to improve the quality of education in Ukraine and its integration into the European space by the heads of the university, schools and representatives of the Department of Education and Science of Kyiv Regional State Administration.
The first block for executives featured speeches by:
- Anatolii Tolstoukhov – European prospects of the development of high-quality education
- Tetiana Zasiekina – Implementation of the New Ukrainian School (NUS) project in wartime realities
- Iryna Steimiller – European grants in education: conditions and prospects
The welcome speech was also made by Zarif Nazyrov, the Director of the Department of Strategic Development and International Programs.
Afterwards, heads of institutions, lecturers, and teachers were able to to attend the interactive lecture by business coach Volodymyr Zubchenko on How to Introduce Yourself Loud as well as the training in tactical medicine by Lukasz Chabowski, a military colonel at NATO hospitals in Iran and Afghanistan, and Andrzjej Kuprianowicz, a military doctor at NATO hospitals.
The next activity was the Project Workshop where Iryna Ushchapovska talked about practical experience in receiving Erasmus+ grants. Anna Kholodnytska, a practicing psychologist, conducted the training session: Stress resistance as a personal quality of a modern head of the education institution.
Applicants learned more about opportunities of admission, studies and career development at International European University, underwent the training in the basics of tactical medicine, as well as talked to the career guidance psychologist and designed their own trajectory of movement, future admission and the choice of profession.
As part of the university tour and quest, teenagers got acquainted with IEU’s material and technical facilities, available specialties and admission rules.
During a tasty lunch, executives focused on crucial issues related to the improvement of education quality in Ukraine, including the adoption of contemporary teaching experience, the application of state-of-the-art technologies in the training process, the development of international cooperation between education institutions and possibilities for ensuring the high-quality education for youth, while young people discussed the University admission, the ways of Ukraine’s reconstruction and its European future.
The forum resulted in the definition of new areas of cooperation between the universities aimed at improving the quality of education.
The forum ended with the presentation of certificates to attendees, strengthening partnerships between participants in the educational process, new acquaintances and ideas for further fruitful cooperation to achieve European quality and success.
