The Intercultural communications discipline aims to develop primary theoretical knowledge of the intercultural communication theory, advance skills and train students in efficient contacts at the level of routine interpersonal and intercultural communications in the management process.
Key goals of the Intercultural communications discipline:
- to introduce theoretical approaches to the intercultural communication theory and various methods for solving intercultural issues, as well as the history and theoretical aspects of intercultural communications;
- to learn how to operate key terms and provisions of the intercultural communication theory;
- to expand a range of skills in verbal and nonverbal communications;
- to be able to choose a certain type of behavior and to behave according to the cultural environment;
- to advance skills of efficient communications in an unknown cultural environment;
- to be able to recognize stress experienced by everyone who appears to be in an unknown environment and to manage it properly;
- to develop the ability to apply research in the intercultural communication theory for solving modern linguistic issues;
- to be able to work in international projects and intercultural situations.
